CULTURE OF INCLUSION

Our commitment to an inclusive culture was reinforced by our Board and executive leadership team through our Social Commitment framework.

Fostering a culture of inclusion is consistent with our long-standing foundational values and we are committed to making progress so that everyone has an equitable opportunity for success at Ovintiv. We also believe we can broaden our future employee pool by participating in programs that provide science, technology, engineering, mathematics and other opportunities to junior high and high school students. These are the building blocks that will advance and strengthen our industry over time.

Learning From Our Employees

Listening to and learning from our employees are key components of building a strong and cohesive culture. Creating a space for trust and support to ensure that all great ideas are heard is a priority and an area we will continue to strive to improve. To gather quantitative and qualitative data, we use tools such as pulse-check surveys and employee inclusion listening sessions. In 2024, we implemented the Culture Amp Tool to strengthen our employee listening strategy. Feedback from these tools has informed updates and changes to practices, programs and training initiatives and along with our Company’s demographic data, allows us to better understand workforce needs and continuously improve the employee experience.

“I am committed to continuing this dialogue and developing the programs, processes and initiatives required to support an inclusive workplace.”

Understanding our Workforce

Ovintiv strives to provide equity of opportunity in recruitment, career development, promotion, training and rewards for its employees. We are continuing to deepen our understanding of our workforce through voluntary employee surveys as well as formal gender equality surveys. As we build awareness, we can better support our employees with resources to build an inclusive workplace where everyone can feel accepted and has the opportunity to be successful.
